SCROLL

TRAFFIC CLUB

Traffic Club is an underground event series created by Mainland Block Party and Quacktails, built as a recurring stage for new artists, new sounds, and the crowds who find them first. Studio Unruly was brought in to build the brand identity from the ground up, giving a scene that runs on word of mouth a face it could carry from one edition to the next.

THE CHALLENGE

Underground culture depends on being found. Traffic Club needed an identity people could recognise across posters, socials, and the venue itself, without smoothing over the rawness that made the events worth showing up for. The question at the centre of everything was simple: how do you give the underground a face without giving it away?

THE SOLUTION

We built the identity from the language of traffic signals, visuals designed to be read instantly by anyone in their path. The logomark's three figures map to the three signals of a traffic light, and the colour system of Signal Red, Amber Hold, and Clear Green uses each colour on its own for maximum impact. A primary wordmark sits alongside a warped variation for moments that need more edge.

The result is an identity that feels at home on the street and in the room: direct enough to cut through, and specific enough to be recognised by the people it was made for.
